About the role:
A graduate-level role supporting Persimmon’s adoption of AI and digital innovation. The position focuses on driving engagement, encouraging AI adoption across the business, supporting communications, assisting with training and capability-building, and helping develop a thriving internal AI community. It also contributes to innovation research, governance activities, programme coordination, and internal storytelling around AI developments.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Engagement & Change Adoption
- Promote adoption of AI tools across Group, and Opcos, acting as a trainer, enthusiastic “super-user” and early tester prior to release.
- Collect feedback from business users and translate into actionable improvements for the AI team.
- Support demonstrations, training sessions, and internal showcases of AI tools.
- Maintain a visible presence in internal channels (e.g. AI Community) to encourage safe, responsible AI use.
AI Communications & Storytelling
- Develop clear, accessible communications on new AI capabilities, rollouts, updates, and training opportunities for business audiences.
- Produce engaging content: newsletters, showcase videos, infographics, “tip of the week”, success stories from regions and operating companies.
- Help shape narrative for leadership presentations, programme updates, and SteerCo reports.
- Translate complex technical advances (e.g., model explainability, features, propensity scores) into compelling business language.
AI Training, Learning & Community Activation
- Working with other graduate volunteers help design and manage an internal AI
- Community of Practice, connecting early adopters, champions and operational teams, and supporting functional best practice groups, where appropriate.
- Support awareness and mobilisation of the Persimmon Data & AI Academy, including working with our training provider to promote learning journeys, playbooks, and FAQs.
- Design and co-deliver training workshops on safe and effective use of AI (e.g., Copilot, prompt engineering, data literacy, GenAI fundamentals).
- Support leaders in embedding AI maturity models and best practice frameworks into functional teams
Innovation Support & Research
- Conduct research into external AI innovations relevant to land, planning, customer, commercial and construction domains.
- Scan the market for AI tools, trends and case studies from other international house builders, developers and adjacent industries.
- Support prototyping team in shaping proof-of-concepts by gathering requirements, documenting early test results, and assessing business value.
- Prepare briefing papers for the CDO on emerging innovations and opportunities.
Programme, Governance & Operational Support
- Help coordinate inputs for release roadmaps, training rollouts, pilot cohorts and stakeholder engagement sessions.
- Maintain documentation for AI releases, FAQs, and change-management materials.
- Support the creation of acceptance criteria, user-stories, and success metrics across business units.
- Assist the AI team with cross-functional coordination on AI initiatives.

Job Requirements
- You must have a full right to work in the UK.
- A full UK Driving Licence, with a maximum of three penalty points, and access to your own vehicle (upon starting the programme).
- A 2:1 or above in any degree subject. (When applying please include this in your CV).
